I do like this place and I do believe it's a fair entry fee considering everything there is included with the fee. However, I'm sure everyone would agree the prices to buy anything here is way over priced from the tea to the vodka to the food. Me and my cousin got a 180$ bill just from 2 little bowls of soup, 5 tiny dumplings each , half a cucumber sliced with half a tomato, 1 pitcher of tea which is just boiled water with a couple tea bags and 4 shots of vodka. I suggest not buying anything here and only utilize your entry fee.
A clean , good bathhouse . Delicious homemade food . But I would like a separate recreation area with sofas or sun beds in winter.
The facilities were clean and in good working order. The space is pretty nice as well, with high ceilings and natural light you don’t often see at the baths. You can also drive here and park if you like.
However, the staff is not friendly - some were quite unpleasant. They have some odd rules relative to other establishments as well like online only check in, even if you’ve already arrived and they have availability. And no water bottles…?
I’d maybe give this another chance, but would recommend the Wall St Baths or Body by Brooklyn over this place. They’re both clean enough, friendly, you can bring a water bottle, and you can walk right in and pay your entry fee.
Great experience. As a fitness trainer and physical therapist, I enjoyed the diversity of temperature changes. I initially came to rehab my legs of soreness from the gym and just overall enjoyed the whole experience. I haven’t had the food. I did glance at the menu and saw that it was a bit expensive but overall, I felt much better afterwards. Locker room is a bit tight once packed with a lot of ppl but nothing to complain about. Pricing is great.
For a location that’s pretty much in the “cut” of Brooklyn, you can expect a thorough experience. I’m a raw, natural, nature loving king of guy so it did the job well for me. I came here to heal and rehab and I did just that. Staff showed me around for the first time and made me feel welcomed. Thank you.
I haven’t had the massage as yet but I definitely will be back GOD willing
It’s a great spa overall, but I don’t like the new 4 hours and 6 towels limit rule. Expect to be kicked out of the table the minute your time is up. 6 towels is not bad, but still not pleasant reusing cold wet towels
I love this spa. It is $50 per person for 4 hours. There is a jacuzzi , 2 sauna rooms, a steam room, a cold plunge pool , I have gotten a massage by Ella Everytime I have gone and felt amazing ! They also serve food, I always get a tea , bread with butter and a big bowl of Borscht !
This is my favorite sauna place in Brooklyn and I have been to them all in New York City. Food is great, atmosphere is great. Just a nice relaxing place.
A little bit outdated, the time limit is not fun! Only 4 hours. You're given # of towels, on top of that you have to carry towels with you, and when they get wet they charge you a $1 per dry towel. I've been in so many Russian bath houses, you give a wet towel and get a dry one free. We ordered tea, by the time we came out from the steam room everything was removed from the table! To your response! It was a gift!!! Not purchase.
The lady at the front desk was extremely rude, displaying a lot of attitude and even rolling her eyes at me. Despite there being no other customers around, she was unhelpful when I approached her to ask for towels, which had disappeared while I was in the sauna. Instead of addressing the issue, she insisted that I should be more careful with where I leave my belongings. Despite explaining that someone had taken my towels, she showed no concern. After a frustrating exchange, she reluctantly provided me with towels. The overall cleanliness of the banya is terrible, posing a safety risk as numerous people nearly slipped due to inadequate cleanup by the staff. The facility is in dirty and old and in need of renovation, as everything appears old and unkempt. Regrettably, I will not be returning to this banya
UPDATE:
Instead of fixing issues, they BLOCK people for negative reviews! That’s hilarious :) …
